Hi all,
I have problems upgrading from SAP IQ 16.0 SP08 directly to SAP IQ 16.0 SP08 PL30 in Win 2012 R2
Theretically the upgrade step should be feasible, as reported in readme documentation, but in practice it didn't work.
My starting version is the following
-- STARTING VERSION
-- SAP IQ/16.0.0.807/140507/P/sp08/MS/Windows 2003/64bit/2014-05-07 20:54:43
First, I tried to apply directly
-- PL30
-- SAP IQ/16.0.0.809/150327/P/sp08.30/MS/Windows 2003/64bit/2015-03-27 16:08:58
but even if the engine installation worked correctly I had error executing "ALTRE DATABASE UPGRADE" or "ALTER DATABASE UPGRADE PROCEDURE ON".
Then I tried to apply each one of the following available PL in my customer download area, so I have:
-- PL20
-- SAP IQ/16.0.0.808/141110/P/sp08.20/MS/Windows 2003/64bit/2014-11-10 13:39:42
-- PL27
-- SAP IQ/16.0.0.808/150223/P/sp08.27/MS/Windows 2003/64bit/2015-02-23 16:42:29
-- PL30
-- SAP IQ/16.0.0.809/150327/P/sp08.30/MS/Windows 2003/64bit/2015-03-27 16:08:58
...but foreach tested version I have the same error when I run as dba the "ALTRE DATABASE UPGRADE" or "ALTER DATABASE UPGRADE PROCEDURE ON" commands.
The error is:
"
Could not execute statement.
Item 'sp_tsql_feature_not_supported' already exists
SQLCODE=-110, ODBC 3 State="42S01"
Line 1, column 1
ALTER DATABASE upgrade procedure on
"
Looking in my SAP Support Center logged area (download upgrades and patches) we can found only the already tested IQ releases.
You can find our screen-shot in attachment: "IQ_available_download_01.png".
Looking at "info" link for PL30 in that pages (check in attacment "IQ_available_patch_list.png") it shows a list of patch PL1 --> ?? --> PL2 --> PL3 --> PL20 --> PL27 --> PL30.
Colud be that we have to follow the reported patching path because it is incremental?
In that case:
1. How can I downalod the patches that was release before PL20?
2. Which version is necessary between PL1 and PL2 ? Note that there is a version without any path level reported.
Best regards,
Stefano
